I was lucky enough to ride the Drakkar on 2 powder days. One in Les 2 Alpes in knee deep powder and then in Alagna, Italy in waist deep powder (it had been snowing for days!). The Les 2 Alpes day was blue skies and unfortunately in Alagna visibility was very poor.

I found the Drakkar quickly improved my powder riding. I was going faster, jumping bigger and riding harder and better in powder than ever before.

This is because of the progressive rocker that keeps the nose out of the snow through extra flex and extra rocker. The tail is of course shorter but also stiffer with less rocker which makes it more powerful in the turn and adds pop.

On the piste it performed well. It has amazing edge hold and feels solid. Compared to my smaller boards with central stance I found it slightly cumbersome and arkward at slow speeds but as soon as I was going fast it rode the piste very well.

The Borealis Drakkar is now my board of choice when there is fresh snow to play in as it is fun and just makes you ride better in powder.
